1st - 3rd April 2017

With the Spring Migration now starting in earnest Donna & myself headed for Coton Lakes,Warks on the 1st picking up 4+ Blackcap & 5 Willow Warbler with 100+ Sand Martin & 10 Swallow then a quick check at Kingsbury Water Park adding at least 500+ Sand Martin & a few Swallow with a large flock of departing Fieldfare nearby consisting of well over 200 birds.... We then checked Marston Fields for the Greenland White-fronted Goose after dipping it so many times we finally connected with it!! Only the 3rd for Warks!! Onto Middleton Lakes where we added 3 (2male) Garganey......



On Sunday we headed to Marsh Lane NR picking up my earliest ever Sedge Warbler & onto Kingsbury where we picked up Common Tern on Hemlingford Water but migrants were only in small numbers compared to the Sat...... quick walk around Seeswood Pool on the mon morning (3/4) with the 1st Blackcap & Willow Warblers singing..........
