On the 8th Donna & Myself headed for Cannock Chase after purchasing an Emperor Moth lure online & tried it out within an hour we had at least 20 Males a lifer for both of us............



Been giving Seeswood a bash on a regular basis & on the 13th was rewarded with a cracking male Common Redstart only about my 4th Spring record also Common Sandpiper,8 Swallow,House Martin & 3 Willow Warbler on the 14th I again came up with the goods with the pools 2nd ever Ring Ouzel on ploughed field at backend of pool also an Eygptian Goose only the 4th record!! So a little purple patch for the pool.......... On the 19th April with an unexpected day off we headed to Middleton Lakes RSPB picking up Grasshopper Warbler, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, 3 stunning Black-tailed Godwits & a host of other early Summer migrants & the star bird for Donna a cracking male Green-winged Teal a bird she'd been pestering me  to take her for whenever they've come up on the newslines............
